Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership – Refresh
Following on from the launch of Working Together 2023 and in preparation for the current Boards ‘Partnership Safeguarding Arrangements’ document due for publication in December 2024, the three statutory partners, Staffordshire Police, Staffordshire County Council and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board have agreed to rename the Board as a Partnership.
Statement from the Partnership
“Following a development session in June 2024 the Lead Safeguarding Partners from the three statutory partner organisations, Local Authority, Police and Integrated Care Board agreed to transition to a partnership approach as defined by the updated Working Together 2023 (WT23) legislation. WT23 defined the role of Lead and Delegated Safeguarding Partners, and called for strong, joined-up leadership and clear accountability to drive effective multi-agency safeguarding. As part of the local arrangements, we have also collectively reviewed and developed our shared vision, mission and values with children being at the heart of this, including changing the name of Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Board to Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership.
There is a new website address www.staffsscp.org.uk and a new social media address for X @Staffscp and Facebook Staffsscp. However, these minimal changes will not affect users as all digital channels will have a full ‘redirect’ in place to ensure you reach the Partnership regardless of the address you are using.
The Business Team’s email addresses have changed as follows
- SSCB.Admin@staffordshire.gov.uk has changed to SSCP.Admin@staffordshire.gov.uk
- SSCB.Training@staffordshire.gov.uk has changed to SSCP.Training@staffordshire.gov.uk
- SSCB.communications@staffordshire.gov.uk has changed to SSCP.Communications@staffordshire.gov.uk
The old email addresses will remain in place and direct users to the new email address until the full transition has taken place and over the next twelve months we will be pushing out the new addresses to everyone in order to ensure a smooth transition from Board to Partnership.
For more information on the work of the Partnership along with changes to subgroups, their membership and functions, please look out for the new safeguarding partnership arrangements in December on the website.
